Privacy policy

The short version

Copied is a saved-text and clipboard app. Your Keys, folders and clipboard items are stored on your device, and in your own iCloud account if you enable the optional backup. Our own analytics events do not include your Key text, your folder names, or your clipboard content. We do use third-party analytics and attribution services, described below, and we do not sell your data.

Keys, folders and clipboard items

Your saved Keys, folders and clipboard history are kept locally on your iPhone or iPad. If you turn on the optional iCloud backup, Apple stores that data in your private iCloud container. If you prefer not to use iCloud, Copied keeps the data locally and you can export and import it yourself.

Copied saves clipboard items while a Copied process is active, such as when the app is open or the Copied keyboard is in use, and whenever you send text to Copied through the Share Extension. iOS does not allow a third-party app to watch the clipboard continuously in the background.

The Copied keyboard needs Full Access to read your saved Keys and insert them into the app you are typing in. iOS shows the system keyboard instead of any third-party keyboard in secure fields such as password inputs, and individual apps are allowed to disallow third-party keyboards entirely.

Purchases

Purchases, including the $69.99 lifetime option and the subscription options, are processed by Apple. We receive a purchase receipt to unlock features. We never see your payment card, billing address, or Apple Account password.

Analytics and attribution in the app

The app uses third-party analytics and attribution services to understand which features are used and which campaigns bring people to Copied. The App Store privacy disclosures for Copied include tracking and usage data. These events describe how the app is used, not what your Keys or clipboard items say.

This website

copiedpro.com uses Google Analytics 4 and the Meta Pixel to understand how many people visit, which pages they read, and which links they click. These tools set cookies and collect technical data such as a truncated IP address, browser type, referring page, and campaign parameters. We use this only in aggregate, to decide what to build and write next.

If you take the messaging quiz, we store your answers together with the campaign parameters of your visit, so we can improve the questions and the recommendations. Quiz answers are not linked to your name or email unless you choose to send them to us.

You can block these cookies with your browser settings or a content blocker. The site works normally without them.

Children

Copied is a business productivity tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from them.

Your choices

Deleting the app removes local clipboard history and templates from your device. To request deletion of website analytics or quiz data associated with your visit, or to ask any privacy question, email hello@sharplylabs.com . We reply within one business day.
